The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Jan. 24, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Chris MacCulloch has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for ARC Resources. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. MacCulloch gave his share target a $2 trim to $29. Analysts on average target the shares at $26.70. Mr. MacCulloch says in a note, "We continue to highlight ARC Resources as our favourite large-cap natural gas name given its pristine balance sheet, strong growth visibility from Attachie and advantaged position as the leading condensate producer in the basin, with TMX [Trans Mountain Corp.] linefill expected to drive increased diluent demand." The Globe reported on Sept. 19 and Dec. 7 that Mr. MacCulloch rated ARC Resources "buy." ARC Resources was then worth $21.46 and $21.93. In the September item Mr. MacCulloch said he was becoming "more cautious" on the energy sector. In the December item Mr. MacCulloch said ARC Resources was one of his "top picks." The Globe reported on Jan. 11 that National Bank Financial analysts had reaffirmed their "outperform" recommendation for ARC Resources, which could then be had for $20.54.
