Automata Rare Earth Corp.

Vancouver, British Columbia – TheNewswire - July 24, 2026 – Automata Rare Earth Corp. (CSE: AREE) (FSE: 7K0) (the “Company” or “Automata”) congratulates Pirate Gold Corp. (TSXV: YARR) on its continued success advancing the copper-gold discovery at their Moby Dick target, located within the Crippleback area of its 100%-owned Treasure Island Project in Central Newfoundland.

Automata holds an option to acquire 100% interest in the Burnt Pond Project, located approximately 10km from  Pirate Gold’s Moby Dick copper-gold discovery. Pirate Gold’s recently reported drill results highlight the emerging copper-gold potential of the broader district and provide additional support for continued exploration along the region’s prospective structural and intrusive trends.

Pirate Gold reported that its Treasure Island Project covers more than 90 kilometres of strike length along the Valentine Lake Fault Zone, within one of Canada’s most active gold districts. The Crippleback Intrusive Suite reportedly extends for approximately 40 kilometres along the fault zone in the southern portion of the Treasure Island Project.

At the Moby Dick target, Pirate Gold has identified a large advanced argillic alteration zone that was first recognized in 2024. Drilling has reportedly confirmed the alteration system over an area measuring approximately 3,100 metres in length, 850 metres in width and to a vertical depth of at least 500 metres. Pirate Gold has stated that the full extent of the system remains unknown and is currently limited only by the drilling completed to date.

Pirate Gold’s June 17, 2026 pressrRelease reported drilling highlights of:

  • “0.38% copper equivalent over 112.4 metres , including 0.72% copper equivalent over 45.0 metres , in drill hole PGC-26-058; and

  • 0.54% copper equivalent over 180.8 metres , including 1.48% copper equivalent over 49.4 metres , in drill hole PGC-26-068.

The results referenced above were reported in publicly available disclosure issued by Pirate Gold and have not been independently verified by Automata. Mineralization hosted on adjacent or nearby properties is not necessarily indicative of mineralization that may be hosted on the Burnt Pond Project.

Regional Significance for Burnt Pond

The Burnt Pond Project is located in Central Newfoundland within the Tally Pond volcanic massive sulphide belt, an established mineral district that hosts numerous precious- and base-metal occurrences. Automata believes Pirate Gold’s discovery is significant to the broader district for several reasons

  1. District-scale copper-gold potential: The reported discovery demonstrates that the regional geological setting is capable of hosting broad copper-gold mineralizing systems.

  2. Proximity to Burnt Pond: The Burnt Pond Project is located adjacent to the Crippleback Project, and 10km from the Moby Dick discovery, placing Automata within an emerging exploration district that is attracting increased attention and investment.

  3. Validation of regional exploration activity: The scale of the alteration zone and the broad mineralized drill intersections reported by Pirate Gold support the potential for additional discoveries throughout the surrounding area.

  4. Improved regional geological understanding: Continued exploration by Pirate Gold and other operators may provide valuable geological, geophysical and structural information that can assist Automata in refining its own exploration model for Burnt Pond.

Chris Huggins, Chief Executive Officer of Automata commented:

“We congratulate the Pirate Gold team on what appears to be an important grassroots copper-gold discovery at the neighbouring Crippleback Project. The reported scale of the Moby Dick alteration system and the broad intervals of copper-gold mineralization are highly encouraging for the district as a whole.”

“While these results are from an adjacent property and should not be considered indicative of mineralization at Burnt Pond, they demonstrate that the broader geological setting has the potential to host substantial mineralizing systems. Pirate Gold’s ongoing work is helping advance the understanding of this emerging district, and we look forward to incorporating relevant regional geological information into our exploration planning for Burnt Pond.”

The Burnt Pond property is prospective for copper, gold, silver, zinc and lead mineralization and benefits from its proximity to existing roads, historical exploration areas and active projects operated by other mineral exploration companies.
