The Toronto Stock Exchange reports that AltaGas Ltd.'s cumulative redeemable five-year rate reset preferred shares, Series E, will be halted at the open and delisted at the close on Jan. 2, 2024. According to the TSX, the company will redeem the Series E shares on Dec. 31, 2023, for $25 per share.

Separately from the redemption price, the final quarterly dividend of 33.7063 cents per Series E share will be paid in the usual manner on Dec. 29, 2023, to shareholders of record on Dec. 15, 2023. As the Series E shares are held through the book entry system of CDS and no individual certificates are issued, Series E shareholders need not take any action with respect to the redemption.

The TSX notes that the Series E shares will be called for redemption on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023. As the redemption date is not a business day, the Series E shares will be delisted at the close of business on the business day following the redemption date, being Jan. 2, 2024.
