Mr. Mike Garbutt reports
CLEAN AIR METALS ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Dr. Lionnel Djon has resigned as vice-president of exploration of Clean Air Metals Inc. to pursue other opportunities.
Dr. Djon was instrumental in the identification and drill validation of the Escape down-plunge target area. The company thanks Dr. Djon for his service over the past two years and wishes him the best in his future endeavours.
In the interim, the board will provide technical leadership to support upcoming geoscience initiatives, led by Dr. David Peck. Dr. Peck has been on the Clean Air Metals board since early 2024. He holds a PhD in geology from Melbourne University in Australia and an MSc from the University of Windsor, Canada, and is a registered professional geoscientist in Ontario and Manitoba. He is a recognized world expert in the genesis of and exploration for magmatic platinum group and nickel-copper-sulphide deposits.
The company will provide an update on a permanent replacement following the assessment of all current financing options under evaluation, and subsequent announcement to move its 2026 strategic objectives forward (see Jan. 12, 2026, news release).
About Clean Air Metals Inc.
Clean Air Metals is a development and exploration company advancing its flagship, 100-per-cent-owned Thunder Bay North critical minerals (TBN) project, 40 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay, Ont. The TBN project, accessible by road and next to established infrastructure, hosts two deposits -- the Current and Escape deposits, only 2.5 kilometres apart. Together, the deposits host a 14.9 Mt (million tonnes) indicated mineral resource grading 2.66 grams per tonne (Pt (platinum) plus Pd (palladium)), 0.40 per cent C (copper) and 0.24 per cent Ni (nickel) (NI 43-101 PEA (preliminary economic assessment) technical report, Thunder Bay North project, Ontario, Canada SLR Consulting Canada Ltd., Nov. 21, 2025,) with significant potential for expansion down-plunge.
One of the rare primary platinum resources outside of South Africa, the TBN project is in a stable and mining-friendly jurisdiction and benefits from long-standing relationships with local first nations. The TBN project has the potential to develop into a secure source of rare platinum metals, as well as other critical metals such as copper, nickel and cobalt, for the North American manufacturing sector. Continuing concerns over future platinum supply are driving prices to historic highs, with obvious benefits for a future TBN mining operation. With its proven technical team, Clean Air Metals is committed to growing the resources at the TBN project and creating long-term value for shareholders.
Social engagement
Clean Air Metals acknowledges that the Thunder Bay North critical minerals project is located within the area encompassed by the Robinson-Superior Treaty of 1850 and includes the territories of the Fort William First Nation, Red Rock Indian Band, Biinjitiwabik Zaaging Anishinabek and Kiashke Zaaging Anishinaabek. Clean Air Metals also acknowledges the contributions of the Metis Nation of Ontario, Region 2 and the Red Sky Metis Independent Nation to the rich history of the area.
The company appreciates the opportunity to work in these territories and remains committed to the recognition and respect of those who have lived, travelled and gathered on the lands since time immemorial. Clean Air Metals is committed to stewarding indigenous heritage, and remains committed to building, fostering and encouraging a respectful relationship with first nations, Metis and Inuit peoples based upon principles of mutual trust, respect, reciprocity and collaboration in the spirit of reconciliation.
