ARCHON ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

Melody Yiu has been appointed to Archon Minerals Ltd.'s board of directors. Ms. Yiu is a corporate and securities lawyer, and has considerable knowledge of the Ekati mine, having been involved in the company's affairs for over a decade. The company will be announcing a date for its annual general meeting shortly.
