                                Archon Appoints Patrick Evans as Director

     Archon Minerals Limited is pleased to announce that Patrick Evans has been appointed to its Board
of Directors. Mr. Evans is currently President and CEO of Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. and was
previously a director and/or officer of several mining companies, including Placer Dome Inc., SouthernEra
Resources Ltd., Messina Ltd., Southern Platinum Corp., Weda Bay Minerals Inc. and Norsemont Mining
Inc. Mr. Evans is a graduate of the University of Cape Town where he holds Bachelor of Arts and
Bachelor of Science degrees.
