AutoCanada acquires two Colorworks Autobody facilities

2026-10-08 17:15 ET - News Release

Mr. Mike Woodward reports

AUTOCANADA ACQUIRES TWO METRO VANCOUVER COLLISION REPAIR FACILITIES AND ENGAGES TD SECURITIES INC. FOR COLLISION STRATEGIC REVIEW

AutoCanada Inc. has completed the acquisition of two Colorworks Autobody collision repair facilities in Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam, B.C.

The company also announced that it has engaged TD Securities Inc. as its exclusive financial adviser for the strategic review of its collision operations, which was announced on Sept. 29, 2026.

Located within approximately 20 kilometres of ACX Ridge Meadows, the acquired facilities increase the density of AutoCanada's collision repair network in metro Vancouver. This expanded presence is expected to support operational efficiencies, strengthen customer service and position the company to capture additional repair demand in the surrounding communities.

"The Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam locations complement our existing footprint and create a more connected collision repair platform across metro Vancouver," said Samuel Cochrane, chief executive officer of AutoCanada. "Over the past 12 months, we have acquired nine collision centres, expanding our network by more than 20 per cent and creating further opportunities for operational synergies and growth. Our collision business combines a scaled platform with proven acquisition capabilities, positioning it to capitalize on the significant consolidation opportunity in Canada. Our strategic review will explore how best to enable the business to reach its full potential, accelerate growth and unlock shareholder value."

The two facilities add approximately 12,100 square feet of collision repair capacity. Collectively, the locations hold certifications covering Volvo, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Honda, Acura, Genesis, Ford, Stellantis and Toyota. Both facilities also hold Tier 1 status with the Insurance Corp. of British Columbia.

Postacquisition, these locations will operate as ACX Coquitlam and ACX PoCo, supported by AutoCanada's national collision platform, insurer relationships, original equipment manufacturer partnerships and operational best practices.
