The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday edition that National Bank analyst Maxim Sytchev has reaffirmed his "sector perform" recommendation for AutoCanada. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Sytchev advanced his share target by $2 to $24.50. Analysts on average target the shares at $28.63. Mr. Sytchev says he sees "more risks on the horizon" for industrial products companies heading into 2024 as the "consensus has shifted its view from a recession at the start of 2023 to a greater acceptance of a soft landing. We see political risks shifting to the right of the spectrum, potentially impacting sentiment of infra-friendly names. We are staying sharp and nimble, although it's hard to advocate for material trimming at the moment." The Globe reported on March 6 and May 8 that National Bank analyst Maxim Sytchev rated AutoCanada "sector perform" when it was worth $21.45 and $16.61. The Globe reported on Nov. 10 that BMO rated AutoCanada "market perform." It was then worth $20.50. The Globe reported on Nov. 14 that Acumen Capital analyst Trevor Reynolds lowered his recommendation for AutoCanada to "speculative buy" from "buy." AutoCanada shares were then going for $19.55.
