ACL CONSTRUCTION AWARDED PERMANENT ACCESS CONSTRUCTION FOR OLD FORT FOLLOWING EMERGENCY RESPONSE

A.C.L. Construction Ltd. has been awarded the contract to construct a new permanent access road to the community of Old Fort, south of Fort St. John. Work commenced this morning. The permanent access construction, valued at approximately $1.1-million for the earthworks component alone, represents the next phase of the community's recovery from the recent landslide that temporarily isolated Old Fort residents.

This project follows A.C.L.'s successful delivery of emergency temporary access works completed in co-ordination with the Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MOTT) and Dawson Road Maintenance (DRM) earlier this year. The new permanent road will provide reliable long-term access to the community.
