The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, April 30, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Chris MacCulloch has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Advantage Energy. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. MacCulloch gave his share target a 50-cent boost to $13.50. Analysts on average target the shares at $13.21. The Desjardins stockpicker says in a note: "Continued strong well results, particularly at Glacier, have opened the door to potential further moderation in capital spending, which could support an acceleration of share buybacks, even within the context of extremely depressed natural gas prices. We continue to highlight the stock as our top pick in the small-cap natural gas space." The Globe reported on Jan. 24 that Mr. MacCulloch had reaffirmed his "buy" call for Advantage Energy when it was worth $9.02. The Globe reported on March 6 that Scotia Capital rated Advantage "sector outperform." It was then worth $10.34. The Globe reported on April 19 that National Bank analysts Dan Payne and Travis Wood continued to rate Advantage Energy "outperform." The shares could then be had for $10.56.
