Trevor Page, a U.K. man facing charges from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over an $11.9-million pump-and-dump run through Vancouver, has been arrested on related U.S. criminal charges. (All figures are in U.S. dollars.) The government claims that Mr. Page illegally sold shares in four companies on the OTC Markets from 2016 through 2019. According to the SEC, he made the sales using private entities controlled by Vancouver's Steve Bajic and another Canadian, Rajesh Taneja.

Mr. Page was arrested by authorities in London on a U.S. warrant, with federal prosecutors in New York seeking his extradition. Few other details are available, as the criminal case against Mr. Page is sealed (although it may soon become public with Mr. Page having been arrested). The only mention of the arrest is contained in a letter that Mr. Page's lawyer filed in the SEC case on Thursday, Jan. 18, with that letter stating that the government will be seeking to stay the SEC charges while the criminal matter goes ahead.
