Dr. Rick Tsai awarded the 2023 Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award

He will be recognized for this prestigious achievement during the GSA Awards Dinner Celebration on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif.

Established in 1999, the first GSA "Exemplary Leadership Award" was given to Dr. Morris Chang, chairman and chief executive officer of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (TSMC). Today, the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award recognizes individuals for their exceptional contributions to the semiconductor industry. MediaTek holds the distinct honor of having two of its leaders presented with GSA's Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award, as MediaTek's Chairman MK Tsai also received this recognition in 2015.

Dr. Tsai received his bachelor's degree of science in physics from National Taiwan University in Taipei and holds a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Cornell University. Prior to joining MediaTek in 2017, Dr. Tsai served as chairman of Chunghwa Telecom following his role as the President and CEO at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).
