Guardian Pharmacy Services, Inc. (NYSE: GRDN), one of the nation’s largest and most innovative long-term care (LTC) pharmacy services companies, today announced the acquisition of Wellness Concepts, an LTC pharmacy based in Grottoes, Va. This addition expands Guardian’s footprint in Virginia to three pharmacies in Gainesville (Northern Virginia), Wytheville (Southwest Virginia), and Grottoes (Central Virginia), strengthening its ability to support the growing demand for LTC pharmacy services across the state.

Founded in 1999, Wellness Concepts has a strong reputation throughout the Shenandoah Valley region for providing high-quality pharmacy services to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and behavioral health communities, as well as individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. President Brent Atwell, a second-generation pharmacist, will continue to lead the pharmacy, which will retain its existing leadership and staff, many of whom have been with the company for more than 15 years.
