MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. -- (Business Wire)
Kohl’s (NYSE: KSS) announced today a $1 million donation to Children’s Wisconsin, marking 25 years of partnership. This investment reflects Kohl’s continued focus on supporting the well-being of children and families and builds on a partnership that helps connect millions of families across the state to the mental health and critical care resources they need. Funding will also enable Children’s Wisconsin to respond in real time to immediate needs, including through programs like Child Life, which helps ease the stress of hospital stays for kids and improve outcomes.
“Our long-standing partnership with Children’s Wisconsin reflects our shared belief that every child deserves to grow up happy and healthy,” said Christie Raymond, Kohl’s chief marketing officer. “We’re proud to provide our hometown families with the vital resources and care they need to ensure a brighter future for every child.”
Since 2001, Kohl’s has donated more than $25 million to Children’s Wisconsin to expand access to care and develop programs that encourage healthy habits resulting in stronger outcomes for kids. Kohl’s also played an early role in advancing Children’s vision for improved mental health access by providing funding to help open mental health clinics in Wisconsin, as well as support for expanded school-based mental and behavioral health care and system-wide screening tools. Since 2022, the mental health clinics have provided crucial emergency mental health services for more than 4,500 youth and teens in Milwaukee, Kenosha, and Green Bay. In addition to its financial support, Kohl's associates volunteer their time to help bring joy and hope to the families and children supported by Children's Wisconsin.
“Putting kids first is at the heart of everything our team does,” said Gil Peri, president and CEO of Children’s Wisconsin. “We are deeply grateful to Kohl’s for believing in and supporting our mission, which allows us to deliver care for the whole child, including their mental and behavioral health and programs that support families when they need it most.”
Kohl’s Cares has given more than $165 million to Milwaukee-area nonprofits throughout the company's history. This support is made possible through Kohl’s Cares Goods For Good®, which donates 100 percent of the net profit to nonprofits supporting families nationwide.
