Elon Friedman, Tax and Treasury Consulting Practice Leader at RGP
As finance leaders face increasing pressure to preserve liquidity, optimize working capital, and manage risk, tax and treasury have become central to enterprise performance. From global tax compliance and reporting to cash flow forecasting, balance sheet optimization, and derivatives strategy, these functions directly influence capital efficiency, financial transparency, and long-term value creation.
“Today’s CFO must think holistically about liquidity, risk, compliance, and capital strategy,” said Scott Rottmann, President of Consulting Services at RGP. “Tax and treasury decisions influence everything from M&A outcomes to technology investments. Elon’s leadership strengthens our ability to help clients connect these functions to measurable enterprise value.”
An RGP leader with more than 20 years of tax and treasury experience, Friedman has been instrumental in building and scaling the firm’s tax advisory services. Under his leadership, RGP has expanded its ability to deliver integrated solutions that align tax strategy, treasury operations, and broader finance transformation initiatives.
In his expanded role, Friedman will lead tax and treasury consulting services across income tax compliance and reporting, indirect tax, treasury operations, cash flow and liquidity planning, and balance sheet management. He will also continue to strengthen RGP’s differentiated delivery model. By pairing consulting expertise with scalable on-demand talent solutions, RGP helps organizations manage peak workloads, regulatory deadlines, and transaction activity with agility.
“Tax and treasury decisions are interconnected,” said Friedman. “When aligned, they directly influence liquidity, capital strategy, and enterprise value. I look forward to continuing to build a practice that helps clients approach them holistically.”
Friedman joined RGP as part of the firm’s acquisition of Accretive Solutions in 2017, where he served as Accretive Solutions’ National Practice Director for Tax Consulting. At RGP, Friedman assumed a senior leadership role, helping expand the practice to serve Fortune 500 companies across domestic and international tax disciplines. Friedman has also held international tax leadership roles at Dana Holding Corporation, EY, and PwC.
Additionally, RGP supports many organizations in a flexible, on-demand capacity, augmenting in-house tax and treasury teams during quarterly closes, audit cycles, system implementations, and transaction events. This dual capability — strategic advisory combined with scalable execution — positions RGP to serve as a long-term partner across the full finance lifecycle.
