Vertex Minerals Limited (VTXXF) Australian Gold Conference Presentation: Outlines Reward Mine Ramp-Up and Underground Drilling Plans

2026-10-14 22:39 ET - News Release

Perth, Australia, Oct 15, 2026 - (ABN Newswire) - Vertex Minerals Limited (ASX:VTX) (OTCMKTS:VTXXF) has outlined the ramp-up of its 100% owned Reward Gold Mine at Hill End, following delivery of a mechanised mining fleet and approval for 24/7 underground operations. The company's Investor Presentation details the move to double shifts, production objectives and plans for underground drilling from 2027.

Mining and Operations

Bathurst Regional Council approved 24/7 underground operations on 20 August 2026. Vertex is moving from one shift totwo, then continuous operations, using capacity already funded and installed.

The company expects effective operating hours to increase from 9 to 22 per day. Its operating plan provides for a continuous underground drill, charge, fire and bog cycle, with more stope firings, lower unit operating costs and greater grade selectivity anticipated.

These expected outcomes are forward looking, rather than achieved operating results. Statements regarding expected productivity, cost, ore supply and production outcomes are based on the company's current mine plan and operating assumptions, are not production targets and are not based on an Ore Reserve estimate.

Vertex reports that its mechanised fleet has been delivered and longhole stopingis under way. Following the last 6 months of development and rehabilitation of the Reward declines, the company is ramping up stope mining.

The presentation describes the growth-phase production objective as "Ramping to 500, then 1,000oz per month over 12 months and better". These figures are forward-looking objectives, subject to approvals and not based on an Ore Reserve estimate. The growth phase also includes mechanised stoping to 1.4m and developing narrower drives.

Processing and Monitoring

The Gekko gravity processing plant has been commissioned at Reward, with a TOMRA ore sorter providing laser sorting ahead of the mill.

Vertex describes gravity processing without cyanide or chemicals, with no ball mill or tailings dam required. The presentation identifies historic gravity recovery of 91%.

Rejected waste is returned underground as stope fill. All blasting authorised under the development consent modification is carried out underground.

Real-time blast vibration and noise monitoring is accessible to staff through an app, while dust and noise are monitored in and around Hill End.

Underground Drilling and Mine Expansion

Vertex plans to commence a continuous underground drilling program from within Reward in 2027. The program aims to add gold ounces to the Mineral Resource, upgrade Inferred ounces to Indicated and build towards a maiden Ore Reserve.

Three priority drill target areas have been defined by the 2026 resource model: depth extensionsbelow the existing Reward Mineral Resource, remnants in and around the historic Hawkins Hill mine directly above Reward, and Fosters along strike.

The company plans to drill from existing underground development close to the targets and processingplant. Its mine expansion plans include developing the mine in the upper high-grade levels and expanding the underground workings.

The presentation identifies an existing Fosters adit and drive and states that no new approvals are needed to drill. Fosters is inside existing Mining Licences and Development Consent. The drilling and resource-growth plans remain forward looking.
