With more than 25 years of marine industry experience, Nance will lead Nautical Ventures' sales team at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show as the Company advances commercial execution and manufacturer relationships.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vision Marine Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: VMAR) ("Vision Marine" or the "Company") today announced the appointment of marine industry veteran Mike Nance as Regional Sales Manager at its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nautical Ventures, strengthening the Company's Florida commercial organization ahead of the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show ("FLIBS").
Nance brings more than 25 years of experience in marine retail, dealership operations, sales management, service coordination, and customer relations. His appointment supports Vision Marine's continued efforts to strengthen Nautical Ventures' commercial operations, manufacturer relationships and sales execution across its Florida retail and service network.
As one of his first major initiatives, Nance will lead Nautical Ventures' sales team at FLIBS, taking place October 28 through November 1, 2026. The event brings together boat manufacturers, dealers, customers, and marine industry partners, providing an important commercial opportunity for Nautical Ventures and its portfolio of recreational boating brands.
Most recently, Nance served as South Regional Manager for Marine Connection Boat Sales, overseeing multiple South Florida locations from Fort Lauderdale through Miami and the Florida Keys. His responsibilities included dealership operations, sales and service coordination, staffing, customer relations, profitability, and aftersales support.
His previous industry experience also includes leadership positions with Sundance Marine/OneWater Marine, Xtreme Powerboats, MarineMax and other marine organizations.
Advancing Nautical Ventures' Commercial Execution
Nance's appointment follows a series of operational initiatives undertaken by Vision Marine since its acquisition of Nautical Ventures, including inventory optimization, operational integration, expanded manufacturer relationships and the recently announced activation of an inventory financing facility with Northpoint Commercial Finance.
These initiatives reflect Vision Marine's focus on aligning inventory purchasing with customer demand, strengthening working-capital management, and supporting more effective commercial operations across its Florida network.
With financing infrastructure and operational processes continuing to evolve, Vision Marine is placing additional emphasis on experienced sales leadership, customer engagement and coordination between its dealership, service, and manufacturer relationships.
"We have spent the past year strengthening the foundation of Nautical Ventures, from operational efficiency and inventory management to financing infrastructure and manufacturer relationships," said Alexandre Mongeon, Chief Executive Officer of Vision Marine. "Bringing experienced leadership into our sales organization is a natural next step. Mike understands the Florida marine market, the importance of strong manufacturer partnerships, and what it takes to turn a dealership network into a more effective commercial platform."
Mongeon added, "The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is an important opportunity to bring our teams, customers, and manufacturers together. With Mike leading our sales team at the show, we are reinforcing our commitment to commercial execution, accountability and building long-term value through the Nautical Ventures platform."
Nance's experience spans the marine customer lifecycle, from initial sales and dealership management to vessel deliveries, service coordination, and aftersales support. This operational background aligns with Nautical Ventures' emphasis on delivering a comprehensive boating experience while supporting its relationships with established and prospective marine manufacturers.
"I am excited to join Nautical Ventures at an important time for the organization," said Mike Nance. "My immediate focus is the team, our customers, our manufacturers, and execution. FLIBS gives us an excellent opportunity to bring those pieces together, generate sales opportunities and demonstrate to the industry what Nautical Ventures can deliver in the Florida market."
Strengthening the Florida Commercial Platform
Vision Marine continues to develop Nautical Ventures as an integrated marine retail, distribution, service, and marina platform serving the Florida recreational boating market.
The Company's commercial strategy emphasizes experienced sales leadership, disciplined inventory deployment, customer support, and alignment with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs").
Management believes these priorities can enhance Nautical Ventures' ability to serve existing manufacturer partners and support prospective relationships with marine brands seeking established retail representation, customer access, and aftersales capabilities in Florida.
The Company remains focused on responsible inventory management, efficient capital allocation and maintaining constructive relationships with its inventory-financing partners as it evaluates inventory purchasing and commercial opportunities based on market demand.
