Oakland, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) continues to monitor a potential dry offshore wind event forecasted to start Wednesday evening, October 14, lasting through Saturday morning, October 17. This is a statewide fire weather event, and the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for parts of Kern County, primarily around Lebec, as well as a Fire Weather Watch extending from Bakersfield across the southern plains from San Luis Obispo to Santa Barbara.
PG&E's potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event, forecasted from Wednesday evening through Saturday afternoon, may impact approximately 88,000 customers.
