The units will support workforce and employee housing for the hospital's clinical and support staff.
The project's first phase includes 15 Studio Casitas. BOXABL expects to deliver the units over roughly 60 days, with the first phase expected to be complete by the end of the year and BOXABL anticipates additional units as the project continues. The deployment will support Sage Memorial Hospital's ongoing efforts to expand and strengthen workforce housing infrastructure, addressing critical staffing needs in a rural health care setting while improving access to stable, near-site housing for essential employees.
Sage Memorial Hospital, a Navajo-managed nonprofit health care system serving the Navajo Nation, continues to invest in housing solutions aimed at improving recruitment and retention of health care professionals across underserved communities. BOXABL's factory-built Casitas are designed to shorten construction timelines and add housing capacity faster than traditional site-built methods, while maintaining long-term durability and livability standards.
