Collaboration will support regulated tokenisation initiatives, strengthen Dubai's virtual asset ecosystem, foster institutional participation and advance digital asset research and talent development.
DUBAI, UAE and MIAMI, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), and Securitize Corp. ("Securitize") (NYSE: SECZ), the world's leading institutional tokenisation platform, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support the continued advancement of tokenisation and digital asset infrastructure across the Emirate of Dubai.
The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration that supports Dubai's ambition to become the leading global jurisdiction for regulated tokenised financial markets and digital financial infrastructure. Through knowledge sharing, ecosystem development and regulatory engagement, VARA and Securitize will work together to advance responsible innovation in tokenisation, giving licensed market participants access to Securitize's global expertise while maintaining high standards of market integrity and investor protection.
Under the MoU, VARA and Securitize will explore opportunities to support tokenisation initiatives within Dubai, including projects initiated or facilitated by VARA and the broader virtual asset ecosystem. The collaboration also includes initiatives focused on ecosystem development, talent attraction, market education, data-driven research, and the evolution of tokenised financial products operating within Dubai's regulatory framework.
"Dubai has established itself as one of the world's most forward-looking jurisdictions for digital asset innovation," said Carlos Domingo, Co-Founder and CEO of Securitize. "As tokenisation moves from concept to mainstream financial infrastructure, collaboration between regulators and industry becomes increasingly important. We're proud to support VARA's vision of building a trusted, well-regulated digital asset ecosystem that enables responsible innovation while helping bring capital markets onchain."
Matthew White, VARA CEO said, "Dubai's ambition is to ensure the future of financial markets will be shaped not only by new technologies, but by the regulatory frameworks and market infrastructure that give institutions the confidence to adopt them. Through our collaboration with Securitize we are supporting the development of regulated tokenised markets and reinforcing Dubai's position as a leading global centre for capital markets."
As financial institutions worldwide explore tokenisation to modernise capital markets, jurisdictions that combine regulatory certainty with institutional-grade infrastructure will be best positioned to support this evolution.
