Alkami Recognizes 2026 Hackathon Winners, Showcasing Innovation Across Its Platform

PR Newswire

Celebrating creative problem-solving with artificial intelligence (AI) and collaborative teamwork across Alkami's 2026 Hackathon

PLANO, Texas, Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Alkami Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALKT) ("Alkami"), a digital sales and service platform provider for financial institutions in the U.S., today highlighted the winners of its annual Hackathon, a dynamic two-day event where customers, partners, and Alkamists collaborate to create innovative solutions inside the Alkami Platform.

This year's winners showed just how many directions teams could take the 'Build Your Own Banking' theme, which challenged participants to create hyper-personalized experiences that bring relationship banking to the digital channel. Participants were asked to reimagine how financial institutions can use the Alkami Platform to deliver unique digital experiences. Projects were recognized for technical excellence, customer impact, creativity, collaboration, and their potential to push digital banking forward.

This year, teams used artificial intelligence (AI) to explore ideas and move from early concepts to working solutions through hands-on collaboration. The event culminates in a live showcase, where each team presents its work to the judges in a three-minute presentation.

"AI gave teams another way to explore and strengthen their ideas, but the real value came from the people behind the work," said Sundar Siva, vice president of software engineering at Alkami. "Hackathon is a place where ambitious thinking becomes shared momentum, and where people from different backgrounds can come together to make something real. That spirit defined this year's event."

Notable awards1 included:

  • Fusion Award: Honors the team that has the most diverse collaboration to deliver amplified impact.
    • Winner: The "Card Compass" team created an AI-powered tool that guides users through complex card integrations by quickly identifying which features, platforms, and integration paths are supported across different technology combinations.
  • Customer Delight Award: Celebrates the solution that delivers a seamless, engaging, and intuitive user experience, turning user interactions into moments of joy through thoughtful design, effortless navigation, and genuine end-user satisfaction.
    • Winner: The "Insight Engine" team used personalized account holder insights to assess an individual's financial health and identify opportunities for more relevant guidance, surfacing recommendations from potential loan relief to smart investment opportunities.
  • Fan Favorite Award: Selected by live audience or participant vote, this award goes to the standout solution that captured the most enthusiasm, curiosity, and crowd support.
    • Winner: The "Magnet: More Needles, Less Haystack" team gave engineering and support teams a faster way to find the data they need when investigating issues, securely capturing third-party communications and key system actions in one place.
  • TechFin Award: Recognizes the solution that best embodies our "Building Beyond Limits" theme by advancing the TechFin pillars: reliability, quality, efficiency, performance, and scalability.
    • Winner: The "Integration Hub" team presented a solution to allow financial institutions, partners, and Alkami teams one place to see and manage their integrations, settings, and enablement.

"As part of the Integration Hub team at Alkami's Hackathon, we had the opportunity to work closely with the Alkami team and approach a challenge from a new perspective," said Liam Petraska, digital banking manager at NASA Federal Credit Union. "Integrations can feel like a maze, so we focused on creating a simpler experience that helps teams understand what is connected and keep their work moving. The collaboration gave us ideas we can bring back to NASA Federal Credit Union and strengthened the partnership we have with Alkami."
