Fintech provider launches its first self-service network with DN Series cash recyclers to extend its digital-first model beyond smartphones
NORTH CANTON, Ohio, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Diebold Nixdorf (NYSE: DBD), a global leader in transforming the way people bank and shop, today announced that stc pay Bahrain will expand customer access to its digital financial services into physical locations with DN Series® cash recyclers and DN Vynamic® Software. The agreement represents Diebold Nixdorf's first major engagement with a telecommunications-affiliated financial services provider in the Middle East, demonstrating how the company's solutions can support emerging financial-services models beyond traditional banking. The announcement was made at Fintech Forward 2026 in Bahrain.
For stc pay Bahrain, the country's innovative and accessible mobile wallet for digital financial transactions and a subsidiary of stc Bahrain, the combination of physical self-service and digital capabilities will provide consumers with greater choice in how, when and where they transact, while supporting the Central Bank of Bahrain's vision for a modern, innovative and cash-optimized society.
stc pay Bahrain will install the DN Series cash recyclers, some featuring Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) kits, across its locations. Rather than functioning as traditional ATMs, the devices will serve as physical gateways to stc pay Bahrain's digital ecosystem, enabling customers to move seamlessly between cash, cards, mobile wallets and digital services. Customers can perform a broad range of transactions, including wallet top-ups, eSIM issuance, domestic and international remittances, bill payments, gift card purchases, transportation card top-ups, charitable donations and cash collections for small- and medium-sized businesses.
DN Vynamic Software will connect these physical touchpoints with stc pay Bahrain's digital services and payment infrastructure. Vynamic Transaction Middleware, a cloud-native, API-driven platform, orchestrates transactions across channels and makes it easier to introduce new services as consumer needs evolve. Vynamic Terminal Driving supports capabilities such as contactless payments, mobile wallets and real-time account access.
The DN Series devices are powered by DN AllConnectSM Data Engine, which leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to maximize fleet performance and availability, together with Vynamic View software for 24/7 fleet monitoring and management.
The local deployment and technical support are being executed in collaboration with Almoayed Group WLL, Diebold Nixdorf's licensed partner in Bahrain.
Metin Zavrak, CEO of stc pay Bahrain, said: "Expanding our network beyond the mobile app is a strategic step towards making our financial services more accessible to the wider community. By introducing physical kiosks, we are providing customers with greater choice and flexibility in how they access and use our services, while extending our reach across Bahrain. Our partnership with Diebold Nixdorf enables us to deliver a secure, reliable and convenient experience, further strengthening our commitment to advancing financial inclusion."
Habib Hanna, managing director - Middle East, at Diebold Nixdorf said: "Our work with stc pay Bahrain demonstrates how an innovative, digital-first fintech can use our self-service technology and software to establish a physical presence, reach more consumers and offer a broader range of transactions. DN Series is evolving beyond the traditional ATM into a highly connected transaction point that can bring digital financial services into the physical world."
