SGX RESOURCES APPOINTS BRUCE REID AS DIRECTOR

SGX Resources Inc. has appointed Bruce Reid as a director of the company.

"Mr. Reid is an excellent addition to our board of directors. He has extensive industry experience as an operator, explorer and financier and understands what it takes to capitalize on high-potential discoveries such as the Edleston and Tully exploration projects currently being pursued by SGX within the Timmins gold camp. Bruce's views on development strategy and consolidation, especially within the Timmins gold camp, are very much in line with our own," said Dale Ginn, president and chief executive officer of SGX Resources.

Mr. Reid is currently a senior executive and director of Carlisle Goldfields, which he founded in 2009. Over the past six years, Mr. Reid raised over $25-million while the company discovered over five million ounces of gold on the company's Lynn Lake, Man., project. Prior to that from 2005 to 2008, Mr. Reid was the founder, president and chief executive officer of U.S. Silver Corp., where he raised over $75-million to modernize and renovate the Galena silver mine in Idaho and return the asset back to profitability. Mr. Reid brings to the corporation over 35 years of extensive experience in mining, exploration and corporate finance. His background also includes an honours BSc in geology from the University of Toronto in 1979 and a finance degree from the University of Windsor in 1982.
