ROME RESOURCES ANNOUNCES PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Rome Resources Ltd. has arranged a non-brokered private placement of up to three million units at 15 cents per unit for gross proceeds of up to $450,000. Each unit consists of one share and one-half of one warrant. Each whole warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one share for 18 cents per share during the first year after closing, and 20 cents per share during the second year after closing. The company has agreed to pay a finder's fee of 5 per cent on part or all of the gross proceeds raised.

The proceeds of the placement will be used for mineral property expenditures primarily on the La Colorada project, Mexico, and for general working capital purposes.

The private placement is subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange.
