ROMARCO ANNOUNCES JOINT FEDERAL AND STATE PUBLIC HEARING
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, released the draft environmental impact
statement for Romarco Minerals Inc.'s Haile gold mine on March 13,
2014. This document is made available at the company's website.
In addition, the company has received notice that the upcoming public
hearing to be held on April 24, 2014, will be a co-ordinated, joint
meeting between the Corps and the South Carolina Department of Health
and Environmental Control (SCDHEC). The public hearing will receive
oral and/or written comments on the draft EIS and also the SCDHEC mine
application. The draft EIS was prepared by the Corps in co-operation
with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Catawba Indian
Nation and SCDHEC.
The joint meeting of the Corps and SCDHEC on April 24, 2014, will be held
in Kershaw, S.C.
