PLAZA RETAIL REIT ANNOUNCES MAY 2018 DISTRIBUTION

Plaza Retail REIT has declared its May, 2018, monthly distribution in the amount of 2.333 cents per unit (28 cents annualized). The May distribution will be payable on June 15, 2018, to unitholders of record as at May 31, 2018.

Under Plaza's distribution reinvestment plan, unitholders are able to reinvest distributions in additional units at a 3-per-cent discount. Units purchased under the distribution reinvestment plan are not subject to the payment of brokerage commissions. Units will be valued at the weighted average closing price on the previous five trading days.

Plaza is an open-ended real estate investment trust and is a leading retail property owner and developer focused on Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Plaza's portfolio at March 31, 2018, includes interests in 297 properties totalling approximately 8.1 million square feet across Canada and additional lands held for development.
