PURE ENERGY APPOINTS CORPORATE SECRETARY, CORRECTS STOCK OPTION DISCLOSURE

Pure Energy Minerals Ltd.'s board of directors has appointed Dianne Szigety as corporate secretary.

Ms. Szigety is a fellow with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and brings over 25 years of management experience within the corporate and securities industry, providing corporate governance and compliance solutions to publicly traded companies. She has been a director and officer of several publicly traded and private companies.

"We welcome Ms. Szigety as a member of our executive team. She brings a wealth of experience in corporate and securities matters to the company," stated Robert Mintak, Pure Energy's executive chairman.

Further to the company's news release of Dec. 2, 2016, outlining the grant of 200,000 incentive stock options at a price of 66 cents, the company wishes to clarify that the same 200,000 options were granted at an exercise price of 71 cents, not 66 cents. All other terms of the aforementioned options remain unchanged from the prior release.
