NORDEX EXPLOSIVES LTD. ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF DUNCAN MIDDLEMISS TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Duncan Middlemiss has been appointed to the board of directors of Nordex Explosives Ltd., subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval. Mr. Middlemiss is the president and chief executive officer, as well as a director, of St. Andrew Goldfields Ltd. (SAS), a gold mining and exploration company focused on the Timmins mining district. Mr. Middlemiss joined SAS in July, 2008, as general manager and vice-president, operations, later assuming the role of chief operating officer; he was appointed to his current position on Oct. 1, 2013. He earned a BSc in mining engineering at Queen's University in 1989 and worked for Inco Ltd. (now Vale Canada Ltd.) as mine design engineer until 1995. At that time, he joined Barrick Gold Corp. and held the position of chief mine engineer at the Holt-McDermott mine until 2002. He then joined Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. at its Kirkland Lake operations, where he held the positions of mine engineering and production manager, and later was appointed mine manager.
