MONA VIE INC. FOUNDER AND COO-CHARLES BRINK APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF NATURALLY SPLENDID USA

Naturally Splendid Enterprises Ltd. has appointed Charles Brink as president of the company's 100-per-cent-owned Naturally Splendid USA Ltd. subsidiary, based in Denver, Colo. Mr. Brink has over 30 years of experience in the organization and operational management of a number of successful high-tech start-ups. Mr. Brink was a founder, member of the board, chief operating officer and later general counsel for Mona Vie Inc., the fastest growing private company in the food and beverage industry incorporated in 2003 with annual sales in excess of $942-million and growth of over 100 per cent per quarter for a three-year period. Mr. Brink is a member of the board and managing director of Full Spectrum Laboratories Ltd. -- developing cutting-edge cannabinoid products as well as chairman of the board of Boreal Technologies Inc. creating the exclusive plant-based omega products -- HempOmega and H2Omega.

Mr. Brink's addition as president of Naturally Splendid USA comes following the recent letter of intent with Full Spectrum Laboratories Ltd. (FSL) headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, to license FSL's cannabinoid extraction and patented formulation technologies. The licence will grant Naturally Splendid USA worldwide rights to a suite of advanced cannabinoid technologies, including the first issued USPTO patent for water-soluble cannabinoids, essential for the development and manufacturing of cannabinoid-based nutraceutical and pharmaceutical products and therapies. The licence will allow Naturally Splendid USA to create products and industrial solutions in those countries and jurisdictions that allow for the manufacture and distribution of cannabinoid-based products.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is arguably becoming the most sought-after cannabis compound due to its medicinal and nutraceutical properties:

• Non-psychoactive;
• Anti-convulsant;
• Anti-epileptic;
• Anti-inflammatory;
• Antioxidant;
• Anti-psychotic;
• Neurological protection.

Naturally Splendid USA's worldwide licence will be for an initial term of 10 years with renewable five-year term options. The licence will allow Naturally Splendid USA to also sublicense these cannabinoid technologies to approved third party companies in countries that allow for the production and distribution of cannabinoid-based products and solutions. A definitive agreement is anticipated to close on or before Oct. 31, 2014. This transaction is subject to TSX-V approval and legal due diligence by NSP.

In the position of president of Naturally Splendid's American subsidiary, I will be responsible for long-term strategic planning, the development of a professional management team, regulatory compliance and the creation of its manufacturing and distribution infrastructure in the United States in order to prepare for the launch of hemp extracted cannabinoid formulated products and services in 2015."

As a founder, chief executive officer and/or chief operating officer, Mr. Brink has been responsible for creating and managing joint ventures throughout Asia, South America and the Middle East.

Mr. Brink began his career as an assistant district attorney for Bonneville county, Idaho. He later joined Automatic Data Processing Inc. as a corporate attorney specializing in merger and acquisition due diligence and intellectual property management. Mr. Brink founded two engineering software companies that were later sold to larger multinational telecommunications companies. Mr. Brink received his BA degree from Florida Atlantic University, graduating cum laude and his JD degree from Gonzaga University, College of Law.

Naturally Splendid's vice-president of operations Bryan Carson added: "Charlie will be invaluable in the development and launch of the family of hemp extracted cannabinoid formulated products.
