NEWALTA ANNOUNCES DATES FOR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS, FIRST QUARTER 2016 RESULTS AND CONFERENCE CALL

Newalta Corp. will issue its results for the first quarter of 2016, on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, after the market closes. Newalta will hold a conference call to discuss its results on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at 11 a.m. Eastern Time (9 a.m. Mountain Time).

Newalta's management will review financial results for the first quarter of 2016. The call will be hosted by John Barkhouse, president and chief executive officer, Mike Borys, executive vice-president and chief financial officer, and Linda Dietsche, vice-president, finance.
