MATICA BOARD ADDS FINANCIAL DEPTH

George A. Brown has agreed to join the board of directors of Matica Enterprises Inc., effective immediately.

Mr. Brown graduated with honours from Bishops University with a bachelor of business administration, majoring in accounting and finance. Mr. Brown has agreed to be the chairman of the company's audit committee as an independent director. Mr. Brown is currently the president and a director of MacMillan Minerals Inc. Mr. Brown has also been an officer and director with MacMillan Gold Corp., Duran Ventures Inc. and Cache Exploration Inc. Mr. Brown's work experience includes financial reporting for Camchib Resources Inc., the Quebec mining subsidiary of Campbell Resources Inc. Mr. Brown has also been the controller of Cullaton Lake Gold Mines Ltd., which operated a 350-tonne-per-day gold mining operation in the Northwest Territories (now Nunavut). Mr. Brown has looked after the financial reporting functions for numerous junior resource companies, including Corner Bay Silver Inc. until its amalgamation with Pan American Silver Inc.

Matica Enterprises chief executive officer Boris Ziger stated: "The recent issues faced by Matica in the filing of our annual financials made us aware of the need to add more depth to our audit committee. We are very pleased to have someone with Mr. Brown's experience join our team. Mr. Brown has also agreed to become an independent director of Raveline Exploration Ltd. upon completion of our plan of arrangement currently in progress."
