Adroit Resources Inc. is a defendant in an unpaid debt lawsuit from its former law firm, Holmes & King, over $534,489 in fees and interest. The firm claims that Adroit incurred the debt over a period of several years. The company did pay part of the balance, but the amount owing remains substantial, the suit states.

The allegations are contained in a brief notice of claim that Holmes & King filed at the Vancouver courthouse on Tuesday, March 24. According to the suit, the firm served as Adroit's lawyer from at least 2009 to the present. During that time, Holmes & King represented the company in some sort of litigation and acted on its behalf in securities and other general matters. By March 18, 2015, Adroit's account at Holmes & King had grown to $329,364 plus $205,125 in interest, according to the suit. The firm claims that the company has not made any payment, despite demands, and that the balance continues to grow at $162 per day.
