The TSX Venture Exchange gained 11.22 points to 796.17 Friday, ending the month up 65.73 points. Joanne Yan has filed a final prospectus to list her third capital pool shell, Avanco Capital Corp. Haywood Securities Inc. is selling the shell's $500,000 initial public offering of five million shares at 10 cents.

Avanco has two million escrowed shares, which it sold at five cents in April. Ms. Yan holds 800,000 of the escrowed shares. Since the mid-1990s, Ms. Yan has been working with Canadian and Chinese companies and promoters. Her first capital pool shell, Y&O Ventures Corp., launched an oil and gas producer, Hanwei Energy Services Corp. (HE: $0.045), in December, 2006. Hanwei recently sold its subsidiary in Tianjin, China, and is now left with its properties in Alberta. Ms. Yan's second shell, JYW Capital Corp., launched a Chinese coal producer, China Coal Corp., in June, 2010. China Coal has since delisted, unloved and broke. The IPO shareholders of both Y&O Ventures and JYW Capital had plenty of time to get out of their investments with a profit after each shell closed its qualifying transaction, so we consider both shells to have been successes.
