New York spot gold fell $6.40, closing at $1,266.70 on Wednesday. The TSX Venture Exchange lost 10.29 points to 775.39 while the TSX Gold Index slipped 5.26 points to 220.05. Most Canadian gold miners fell back today, although Klondex Mines Ltd. (KDX) bucked the trend, gaining 14 cents to $7.65 on 2.07 million shares. Premier Gold Mines Ltd. (PG) fell 26 cents to $3.10 on 2.01 million shares.

(SOI: $0.55), says the drilling will start in early winter, most likely January, because the six-kilometre-long trail to the site is currently too muddy for hauling in equipment and supplies.
