WILAN SUBSIDIARY ENTERS LICENSE WITH UNION WIRELESS

A wholly owned subsidiary of Wi-LAN Inc. has granted Union Wireless a licence to certain patents related to the management of wireless cellular phone services, including current generation LTE networks.

"Union Wireless is the third U.S. carrier to recognize the value of our network management technologies," said Jim Skippen, president and chief executive officer. "This program continues to make good progress and we look forward to negotiating additional licence agreements in the future."

The consideration to be paid by Union Wireless to WiLAN and all other terms of the licence agreement are confidential.
