Supreme opens hybrid greenhouse facility in Ontario

2016-03-30 09:05 ET - News Release

Mr. John Fowler reports

SUPREME HOSTS GRAND OPENING OF 7 ACRE HYBRID GREENHOUSE FACILITY

Yesterday, over 100 residents, vendors, media representatives, employees and local dignitaries attended a grand opening event at Supreme Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s seven-acre hybrid greenhouse in Kincardine, Ont. Representatives of all levels of local government were in attendance, including MP (member of parliament) Ben Lobb (Huron-Bruce), MPP (member of provincial parliament) Lisa Thompson (Huron-Bruce), Mayor Anne Eadie (municipality of Kincardine), Warden Mitch Twolan (Bruce county); Warden Alan Barfoot (Grey county), Warden Paul Gowing (Huron county), and senior officials from the town of Hanover and the townships of North Huron and Huron-Kinloss. The grand opening was an opportunity to celebrate the efforts of Supreme's staff, local contractors and local community members in obtaining the marijuana for medical purposes (MMPR) licence granted on March 11, 2016.

"Today is a great day for the company and for Kincardine," Mayor Eadie remarked. "In 2014, Supreme came to town promising local employment and investment in our community. We are pleased they chose to put down roots in our Bruce Energy Centre and transform the existing greenhouse facility into a first-rate operation. The Municipality of Kincardine looks forward to the next stage of Supreme's business," Ben Lobb, member of parliament for Huron-Bruce, commented. "It has been a long process for the company to obtain the MMPR licence. I was impressed with the group's dedication to their local community and unwavering commitment to become a licensed producer of sun-grown, sustainable and affordable medical cannabis."

Supreme is also pleased to announce the initial planting of seeds will occur this week, less than three weeks after receiving the MMPR licence. "The grand opening of our seven-acre hybrid greenhouse and the first planting of seeds are exciting milestones for Supreme," stated John Fowler, president of Supreme. "Our team has executed our business plan with great skill, efficiency and precision. Our licence was obtained, without deficiencies, on a single inspection. Now we are moving to commence cultivation less than three weeks later. I have confidence in our ability to produce high-quality sun-grown product at a competitive cost and execute on our business plan."
