PRETIVM ANNOUNCES CLOSING OF OFFERING

Pretium Resources Inc. has completed its previously announced offering of common shares, which included the exercise in full of the overallotment option granted to the syndicate of underwriters. The offering consisted of a total of 5,554,500 shares at a price of $14.50 per share for gross proceeds of $80,540,250.

The net proceeds of the offering will be used to finance continuing exploration on the company's Brucejack project in northwestern British Columbia.
