NEPTUNE COMPLETES PLANT RAMP-UP

Neptune Technologies & Bioressources Inc.'s Sherbrooke plant ramp-up is successfully completed, with the plant now operating at an annualized production capacity of 150 metric tons.

"Despite a small delay in our ramp-up schedule, which impacted our sales up to now, we are currently operating at full capacity," highlighted Andre Godin, interim president and chief executive officer of Neptune. "Product quality specifications are being met and customer shipments of our premium krill oil, NKO, are now under way.

"With heightened production levels, we are now able to resume our pre plant explosion sales efforts and are well placed to capitalize on future opportunities and reaffirm ourselves as a leader in the omega-3 nutraceutical market. This is an exciting time for Neptune and we remain focused on driving profitable growth by selling premium products, expanding our offerings and reach and leveraging our intellectual property."
