LITE ACCESS TECHNOLOGIES AWARDED FIBRE OPTIC DEPLOYMENT CONTRACT WORTH OVER $7,000,000

Lite Access Technologies Inc. has been awarded a contract in the amount of $7,091,485 for the supply and installation of a fibre optic network for the GwaiiTel Society (GwaiiTel) in Haida Gwaii, B.C. This is the largest contract in Lite Access's history.

The project will consist of the supply and construction of a 107-kilometre fibre optic network beginning near Old Masset, B.C., and connecting to Skidegate, B.C. The feeder fibre network will be connected to five existing GwaiiTel points of presence (POPs) in Old Massett, Masset, Port Clements, Tlell and Skidegate. Lite Access and its wholly owned subsidiary DSG Communications have been awarded this latest project to provide the most future proof and cost-effective fibre connectivity solution available.

Beginning with Waterton, Alta., -- and including Vancouver, B.C., Delta, B.C., Langley, B.C., Rossland, B.C., United States' Virgin Island Water and Power Authority, the Telecommunication Services of Trinidad and Tobago and Telus Corp. -- this is the 10th announced contract awarded to Lite Access in the past five months, culminating in orders and bookings exceeding $8.8-million.
