Int'l Montoro samples 0.27% Cr, 0.149% Cu at Duhamel

Mr. Gary Musil reports

MONTORO COMPLETES FALL EXPLORATION ON DUHAMEL -VANADIUM, TITANIUM & CHROMIUM CLAIMS CONTIGUOUS TO NICKEL, COPPER, COBALT PROJECT- QUEBEC, CANADA

International Montoro Resources Inc., further to its news release of Oct. 17, 2018, has received a report from Magnor Exploration Inc. that the initial fall reconnaissance and sampling program on the Duhamel property, located 200 kilometres northwest of the city of Saguenay, Que., in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, has been completed. A senior geologist and a technical assistant travelled throughout the property taking samples from old and new prospective areas, while reviewing additional access routes into the property. A total of 12 grab samples were shipped to ALS Geochemistry Labs in Val d'Or, Que., for a 41-element aqua regia ICP-AES (inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy) analysis, including nickel, copper, cobalt, vanadium, titanium and chromium. Sample assay results were encouraging with the main highlight in sample No. P267312, which assayed 0.27 per cent chromium, 0.149 per cent copper, 589 ppm (parts per million) cobalt, 0.55 per cent nickel, 0.25 per cent titanium and 946 ppm vanadium. This sample was a composite from blasted old showings. Sample No. P267311, a new discovery outcrop, was a composite (chip) sample taken across a massive magnetite band (MOX), 1.5 metres to three metres in width, open in three directions. It contained 0.46 per cent chromium and 0.19 per cent vanadium over three metres. No historic work was recorded in this new hand-stripped outcrop. It is located on a strong EM (electromagnetic) conductor and on high magnetic axis. This outcrop (20 metres by five metres) and MOX are oriented north-south and align toward the south with historical drill hole No. 1279-01-29 approximately 100 metres away. Historical results of DDH No. 1279-01-29 were 0.95 per cent nickel, 0.32 per cent copper and 0.09 per cent cobalt over 1.9 metres, including 1.4 per cent nickel over 0.5 metre. The nickel-copper-cobalt sulphides mineralization interval in the hole 1270-01-29 is in contact and intercalate with massive magnetic bands (MOX). The association between the massive nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide and the massive oxides (MOX) is recognized on several mineralized sites on the Duhamel property. Further stripping and channel sampling to follow the EM conductor and MOX in this area are recommended.

The Magnor compilation work located new significant sulphide mineralization in mafic and ultramafic intrusive bodies in unexplored areas in Duhamel and Houliere blocks, also comprising unexplored massive bands of iron-titanium (vanadium potential) oxides. Several other potential nickel-copper-cobalt and iron-titanium-vanadium areas will be visited as early as possible in 2019.

The original Duhamel property comprised nine contiguous mineral claims, comprising 500 hectares located 13 kilometres west of Arianne Phosphate Inc. Montoro has recently been successful at staking an additional 32 mineral claims to the south and northwest, following new data acquisition and compilation, that include the Houliere Lake nickel-copper-cobalt (titanium-vanadium-chromium) property. The expanded Duhamel nickel-copper-cobalt-titanium-vanadium-chromium property now totals approximately 2,300 hectares.

The Houliere-Duhamel property currently contains seven occurrences of nickel-copper-cobalt sulphides and one iron-titanium-vanadium iron oxide occurrence discovered between 1997 to 2001 by previous operators who defined a 13-kilometre-long mineralized rock corridor. Further to the compilation of previously filed assessment reports, Montoro recovered, from historical data, a grab sample (from massive iron-titanium oxides), the result assaying 0.28 per cent vanadium associated with 20.8 per cent titanium dioxide and 0.13 per cent chromium oxide on the property, that might be of reasonable economic interest, which the company intends to further investigate. All previous work is of a historical nature. The work was conducted prior to implementation of National Instrument 43-101 standards and assay results cannot necessarily be relied upon

Conclusions

The company is planning an expanded program this summer, which should include:

  • Further historical work compilation and geology reinterpretation, including verification of historical showings and drill hole locations in the field;
  • Prospecting new sulphides and MOX occurrences;
  • Geophysics;
  • Field exploration, mapping and soil geochemistry;
  • Trenching and sampling outcrops.

A PowerPoint summary of the compiled data has been prepared and is posted on the company's website.

About International Montoro Resources Inc.

Montoro is focused on advancing its 100-per-cent-owned Serpent River-Elliot Lake, Northern Ontario, Pecors magnetic anomaly -- a potential nickel-copper-PGE (platinum-group metals) discovery. The southwestern portion of the property has located uranium/REE (rare earth elements) mineralization from previous drilling in the general area where Rio Algom discovered uranium. The property comprises 10 mineral claims (115 units), or approximately 1,840 hectares.
