Genco Resources Ltd. has split its shares 1.1:1 in anticipation of its merger with Silvermex Resources Ltd. According to the company's news releases issued on Nov. 9 and Nov. 11, 2010, the transaction has received approval from shareholders of both companies and from the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Genco shareholders will own 53 per cent of the combined company, leaving 47 per cent for Silvermex shareholders.

The company will not issue any fractional shares in the spilt. In situations where there would be a fractional share, the figure will be rounded down.
