The Successful Investor, in its August, 2014, issue, refreshes its buy of Enbridge Inc., recently $52. The Investor said buy six times from July, 2011, to July, 2014, at prices ranging from $31 to $51. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each of the six buys, the $6,000 position would now be worth $7,540. Enbridge had hoped to complete its new Flanagan South pipeline in the third quarter of 2014, but it has now delayed the start-up to the fourth quarter of 2014. Flanagan South will connect the company's main oil export pipeline in Illinois with storage plants in Cushing, Okla. From there, Enbridge will pump the oil to refineries in Texas. The new pipeline will let the company transport up to 775,000 barrels of oil a day on this route, up from the current 175,000 barrels per day on the existing Spearhead line. Demand for this extra capacity should be strong, since the pipeline will let oil producers ship more crude oil from Western Canada and North Dakota's Bakken area to the U.S. Gulf Coast. Enbridge is a buy.
