CI FINANCIAL REPORTS ASSETS UNDER MANAGEMENT FOR MARCH 2018

CI Financial Corp. had preliminary assets under management at March 31, 2018, of $139.1-billion and total assets of $181.4-billion.

Assets under management grew by $18.4-billion or 15.2 per cent year over year, and decreased 1.2 per cent in the month of March. Total assets gained $21-billion or 13.1 per cent for the 12-month period, and decreased by 1.2 per cent in the month of March.

CI's average assets under management for the first quarter of 2018 were $141.9-billion, a decrease of 0.4 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2017, and a gain of $15.6-billion or 12.4 per cent from the average for fiscal 2017.

CI reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $42.3-billion at March 31, 2018, representing an increase of $2.6-billion or 6.5 per cent year over year.

CI will hold its annual general meeting of shareholders on June 18, 2018, in Toronto at 2 p.m. EDT. The meeting will be held at CI's offices, located at 15 York St., on the second floor.
