CI FINANCIAL REPORTS ASSETS UNDER MANAGEMENT FOR JANUARY 2018

CI Financial Corp. had preliminary assets under management at Jan. 31, 2018, of $143.1-billion and total assets of $185.9-billion.

Assets under management grew by $25.7-billion, or 21.9 per cent year over year, and increased 0.1 per cent in the month of January. Total assets gained $30.3-billion or 19.5 per cent for the 12-month period and grew by 0.1 per cent in the month of January.

CI's average assets under management for the quarter to date were $144.5-billion, versus $142.5-billion for the fourth quarter of 2017. Average assets under management for the year to date were $144.5-billion, a gain of $18.2-billion or 14.4 per cent from the average for fiscal 2017.

CI reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $42.8-billion at Jan. 31, 2018, representing an increase of $4.6-billion or 12.0 per cent year over year.

Additionally, CI launched its redesigned website in January. This new website offers a fresh, mobile-responsive on-line experience, and provides easy access to information about CI, including share price charts, news alerts and announcements.
