Ms. Sally Tindal of Corus reports

CORUS ENTERTAINMENT'S EASTERN ONTARIO TELEVISION CHANNELS ENTER INTO A PROGRAM SUPPLY AGREEMENT WITH BELL MEDIA TO BROADCAST CTV PROGRAMMING

Corus Entertainment Inc. has entered into a comprehensive program supply arrangement with BCE Inc.'s Bell Media, marking a new chapter for Corus's local television channels in Eastern Ontario. This arrangement results in Corus's three channels -- CHEX-TV in Peterborough, Channel 12 in Oshawa and CKWS-TV in Kingston -- broadcasting news, sports, information and entertainment programming from Bell Media's top-rated network, CTV, effective Aug. 31, 2015.

"We are very pleased to be partnering with Bell Media to bring our audiences and advertisers CTV's stellar lineup of news, sports and entertainment programming," said Dave McCutcheon, general manager, Corus radio and television, Peterborough, Kingston and Ottawa, Corus Entertainment. "As home to two of Canada's longest-running heritage channels, our local news stations are recognized as leading voices in their markets. With the addition of CTV News content and programming, we will be offering audiences an exceptional new mix of news and entertainment, while maintaining our commitment to deliver the level of local news that our viewers have come to expect from us."

"We are proud to enter this comprehensive program-supply arrangement with Corus Entertainment, servicing Eastern Ontario," said Richard Gray, regional vice-president, general manager, radio and TV, Northern and Eastern Ontario, Maritimes, Bell Media. "Expanding the footprint of the CTV brand is a direct reflection of Bell Media's ongoing commitment to making our leading conventional programming lineup available to as many markets as possible."

On Aug. 31, CHEX-TV, Channel 12 and CKWS-TV will launch new broadcast schedules featuring a slate of CTV favourites, including hit series The Amazing Race Canada and MasterChef Canada, to name a few. With this arrangement, CTV's one-hour daily national news program, CTV National News with Lisa LaFlamme, will be integrated into the programming lineup, along with the current local daily Newswatch newscasts. More details will be announced closer to the launch date.
