BELL ANNOUNCES OFFERING OF MTN DEBENTURES
BCE Inc.'s Bell Canada has arranged a public offering of $500-million of MTN debentures pursuant to its medium-term-note program.
The $500-million 4.35-per-cent MTN debentures, Series M-39, will be dated March 30, 2015, will mature on Dec. 18, 2045, and will be issued at a price of $99.519 per $100 principal amount. The MTN debentures will be fully and unconditionally guaranteed by BCE.
The net proceeds of the offering are intended to be used for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of outstanding commercial paper, and to finance capital expenditures.
The MTN debentures are being publicly offered in all provinces of Canada through a syndicate of agents. Closing of the offering of the MTN debentures is expected to occur on March 30, 2015.
The MTN debentures are being issued pursuant to a short-form base-shelf prospectus dated Nov. 14, 2014, and a prospectus supplement dated Feb. 10, 2015. Bell will file a pricing supplement relating to this issue with the securities regulatory authorities in all provinces of Canada.
