The Canadian Securities Exchange Composite Index lost 0.57 point to 600.43 Monday. Flower One Holdings Inc. (FONE) dropped 15 cents to $2.70 on 85,000 shares. The company has appointed Kellen O'Keefe as chief strategy officer. Mr. O'Keefe was previously senior vice-president of business development of cannabis retailer Medmen Enterprises Inc. (MMEN: $2.97). Medmen, like Flower One, operates in the United States. Flower One says Mr. O'Keefe was "instrumental in capitalizing (Medmen's) business." Since Medmen had some of the worst losses in the industry ($194.16-million (U.S.) loss in the first three quarters of fiscal 2019), Mr. O'Keefe must have been a busy man. At Flower One, Mr. O'Keefe will oversee the company's investor relations and general marketing practices. The company will not wait long to put Mr. O'Keefe to work; he will speak at the Arcview invite-only investor event in Chicago that goes from July 17 to July 19, as well as two other cannabis conferences this summer.
