David Fennell and Rejean Gourde's Reunion Gold Corp. (RGD), up one-half cent to 19 cents on 354,000 shares, has received assays of up to 20.81 grams of gold per tonne over 3.7 metres from the Nivre West zone at Dorlin, in French Guiana. The assays, from the first 25 holes of the latest drill program testing extensions of the Nivre deposit, also returned 3.86 grams per tonne over 18 metres from Nivre South. Mr. Gourde, president and chief executive officer, says he was pleased that the assays confirmed the historical results and showed increased size potential. He expects Reunion will be able to expand the historical resources by extending the mineralization footprint to the north and south of the existing deposit.
