Premier Gold Mines Inc. (PG) led the retreat. It fell seven cents to $3.73 on 833,000 shares.
Walter Coles Jr. and Ron Netolitzky's Skeena Resources Ltd. (SKE), up one-half cent to 5.5 cents on 2.27 million shares, has started underground drilling at its Snip gold project in the Golden Triangle district of northwestern British Columbia. The company plans about 73 holes spanning a total of 9,000 metres in the program. One drill is currently operating and a second will be brought in soon. The program will test the 130 vein, the 412 zone and the recently defined 200 Footwall zone. With the work taking place underground, Mr. Coles, president and chief executive officer, says that Skeena can continue work through the winter. He expects the company will roll out a maiden resource estimate for the project next year, once the drilling is complete.
