The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a dreary 58-106-126. The TSX Venture Exchange fell eight points to 563 while polished diamond prices rose 0.2 per cent. Dermot Desmond's Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. (MPVD), down six cents to $1.63 on 356,000 shares, is currently holding its final sale of the year for rough diamonds mined at Gahcho Kue in the Northwest Territories.

Leni Keough's Olivut Resources Ltd. (OLV), unchanged at 9.5 cents on 21,000 shares, is rescheduling an airborne geophysical survey over the Seahorse project, north of Great Bear Lake in the Northwest Territories. (Olivut can earn a 50-per-cent interest in the project from Dr. Ray Davies's Talmora Diamond Inc. (TAI: $0.015) by spending $1.2-million over two years and paying $200,000 in cash.) Olivut was to have completed its surveying late last summer, but "unseasonable, extremely poor weather conditions" did not allow the company to get airborne most days.
